CDAS Welcomes New Director Kristy Neurauter

On October 4, 2019, CDAS appointed Kristy Neurauter, a criminal-defence lawyer based out of Vancouver, as its newest Director. Ms. Neurauter has practiced criminal defence since her call to the BC Bar in 2011. She has extensive trial and appellate experience, and has contributed to the criminal bar as a supervising lawyer with the UBC Innocence Project and the Peter Burns Moot. CDAS is proud to welcome Ms. Neurauter to the Board of Directors.

CDAS also extends its deepest thanks to co-founder and former Director, Brock Martland, Q.C., for his years of service. Mr. Martland's dedication to all aspects of CDAS helped navigate the organization through its early years to become recognized as a leading voice in the criminal bar in BC and Canada. Mr. Martland is stepping down from his position with CDAS to focus on his recently-appointed role as Senior Commission Counsel for the Cullen Commission, for which CDAS was granted Participant status. CDAS wishes Mr. Martland all the best.
